Honda’s Odyssey, the minivan sales leader, returns a carryover for 2015 with a modest price increase after undergoing major revisions for 2014. Still, in comparison to Odyssey’s practical design, 2015 Sienna offers a more upscale interior paired with capable technology and more stylish look and feel inside and out, reminding you parents that minivans don’t have to be a punishment.
PERFORMANCE: The 2015 Sienna has more horsepower than Odyssey, while also offering all-wheel drive, and sport-tuned performance on SE models. You can not get AWD on the Odyssey.
TECHNOLOGY: Sienna is the only minivan in the segment to offer Driver Easy Speak, and offers Blu-ray Rear Seat Entertainment together with Navigation on more trims throughout its lineup than Odyssey.
ENTERTAINMENT: Sienna’s audio systems outshine Odyssey’s thanks to standard touch-screen operation and HD RadioTM on LE models and up. Plus, Sienna’s available Entune® App Suite provides more comprehensive functionality than Odyssey’s HondaLinkTM
COMFORT: Sienna’s 2nd-row tip up, long slide seating provides easier 3rd-row access while boast- ing more maximum cargo volume and headroom. Plus, its 3-zone climate control features partial sync technology allowing driver, passenger front, and rear-passengers to adjust temperatures independently
SAFETY: Sienna comes standard with eight airbags, while Odyssey has six. Sienna SE Premium, XLE, and Limited models also come standard with Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert (RCTA) where Odyssey only offers it on it’s top of the line Touring Elite models
VALUE: Sienna’s standard ToyotaCare includes a 2-year/25,000-mile (whichever comes first) no-cost scheduled maintenance plan and 24-hour 2-year/unlimited-mile roadside assistance. Odyssey includes 3-year/36,000-mile roadside assistance but no complimentary maintenance.
